WIZA HIDAYAT APPOINTED AS BOARD MEMBER OF GREEN BUILDING COUNCIL INDONESIA

Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI) announces the appointment of Wiza Hidayat, CEO of Arkadia Works, as one of its new Board Members. This strategic addition reinforces GBCI commitment to accelerating Indonesia’s shift toward a sustainable, low-carbon built environment.

With over two decades of experience in office interior design and construction, Wiza brings a strong blend of leadership, technical insight, and future-oriented thinking. Under his leadership, Arkadia Works has emerged as a leader in eco conscious office interiors, delivering impactful spatial solutions that align with international green building standards.

As a GBCI Board Member, Wiza will play a key role in driving the organization’s mission to promote and implement green building practices across Indonesia. His appointment reflects a shared commitment between GBCI and Arkadia Works to support the national Net Zero Emissions target by 2060, as part of Indonesia’s long-term climate strategy.

“Sustainability is no longer an option, it’s an obligation. As professionals in the built environment, we have a responsibility to design and build with the future in mind. I’m honored to serve on the GBCI Board and contribute to shaping a greener, smarter, and more resilient Indonesia,” said Wiza Hidayat.

Wiza appointment is expected to strengthen collaboration between designers, developers, government, and the wider community embedding sustainability into every phase of the building lifecycle, from planning and construction to retrofitting and operations.

Through his influence in the office interior design sector and broader professional community, Wiza aims to scale the adoption of certification tools like Greenship and EDGE, promote the use of sustainable materials and methods, and inspire the next generation of green building leaders.
