ARKADIA WORKS JOINS THE DECLARATION OF INDONESIA GREEN BUILDING MONTH

Urban growth increases the need for space while also creating environmental challenges. According to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the building and construction sector accounts for 37% of global CO₂ emissions, uses 28% of global energy, and requires nearly 50% of materials extracted from nature.

These challenges call for changes in how buildings are designed, built, and used, including through the adoption of green building principles and collaboration across sectors.

During the Opening Ceremony of Indonesia Green Building Festival 2026 in Jakarta, Wiza Hidayat, CEO of Arkadia Works, was appointed as the Steering Committee member and declared September as Indonesia Green Building Month as part of an initiative by the Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI).

For Arkadia Works, sustainability starts with how a space is designed, built, and used. This principle is also applied at Arkadia Works HQ through waste management, resource reduction, and strategies for energy, water, and material efficiency, which also support its EDGE green building certification.

Being part of this initiative is part of a broader effort to raise awareness and encourage green building practices at the national level.
